Biography
Academic career:

After gaining a degree in English language and literature at the University of Nis, Serbia, my priority was gaining experience in teaching general English as well as English for Specific Purposes (English for Business, English for Tourism and tailor-made courses). After working in several different schools and colleges as a teacher of English, I started working as Academic Manager for Global Input - Pearson LCCI, in the area of assessment, designing and running refresher courses, seminars and workshops for teachers of English (recognized by the Italian MoE) in order to help them prepare their students for LCCI exams. My main interests have remained the methodology of TEFL and assessment of English as a Foreign Language, in particular performance-based testing. My wish to reconcile the commercial and academic in assessment has lead me to take up a PhD program at the Sapienza University of Rome.
