  • Winner of a Fulbright Schuman Grant from the Commission for Educational Exchange between the USA, Belgium & Luxembourg for the research project “The Joint International Doctorate: a strategic tool for enhancing EU-US institutional collaboration on research training in a worldwide network-based knowledge society” (carried out at the University of California, Irvine)
